From Bhuj to Across India
Struct Rehab was founded in 2001 in the immediate aftermath of the Bhuj earthquake, which devastated large parts of Gujarat and exposed the vulnerability of India's built infrastructure. Our founders saw both an urgent need and a long-term opportunity: to build an organisation that could not only respond to disasters, but prevent them by systematically rehabilitating the structures that carry Indian life on their backs.
In the years that followed, we moved beyond post-disaster reconstruction into mainstream structural rehabilitation: inspecting ageing bridges on national highways, repairing corroded port structures, retrofitting flyovers in growing cities, and developing the specialist capabilities needed to work underwater, at height, and under live traffic.
Today, Struct Rehab works across India, restoring and strengthening bridges, flyovers, jetties, dams, and industrial structures for national highway authorities, infrastructure developers, and government bodies. The firm carries the depth of a leadership team whose specialist rehabilitation practice spans four decades, and applies the full range of modern techniques: external prestressing, structural jacketing, carbon laminate and carbon wrap strengthening, underwater foundation repair, and non-destructive testing.
Key Milestones
From our founding in the wake of a national disaster to our position as a trusted specialist firm across India.
1985
Roots in Specialist Rehabilitation
Our leadership's specialist practice began in 1985. Early landmark works included the restoration of a tilted cement silo at Bilaspur (1986), later presented at an international seminar in London, and the external prestressing of the Nizamuddin Bridge over the Yamuna in New Delhi (1991).
2001
Struct Rehab Founded
Struct Rehab established in Mumbai as a dedicated structural rehabilitation firm, carrying forward more than a decade and a half of specialist field experience into an organisation focused solely on this discipline.
2016 to 2018
Complex Strengthening Projects
External post-tensioning of the Kalwa Bridge in Maharashtra (2016) and the underwater strengthening and pier jacketing of the Mahi Bridge in Gujarat (2018) demonstrated the firm's capability on technically demanding structures.
2021 to 2023
Major Highway Bridge Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the NH-16 bridge over the Gowthami River in Andhra Pradesh: external prestressing, girder strengthening, bearing replacement, and protective coatings, all executed under live traffic on a national highway.

What Sets Us Apart
Specialist Focus
Structural rehabilitation is our only business. We do not carry out general civil engineering, construction, or project management. This focus means our entire organisation is optimised for this one discipline.
In-House Execution
Inspection, design, and site execution are all carried out by our own teams. We do not sub-contract critical work, which maintains quality and accountability through every stage.
Difficult Environments
We regularly operate in marine environments, at height, under live traffic, and in remote locations. Our teams are trained and equipped for conditions that exclude less specialised firms.
Advanced Strengthening Techniques
We deploy the full range of modern rehabilitation methods: external prestressing of PSC and RCC structures, carbon fibre laminates and wraps, structural jacketing, micro-concrete and polymer-modified repairs, and underwater foundation strengthening.
Accreditations & Standards
Our work is carried out in accordance with Indian and international standards for structural inspection, repair, and testing.
IS Code 456:2000
All repair and rehabilitation works designed and executed in accordance with the Indian Standard for Plain and Reinforced Concrete.
IRC Standards
Bridge inspection and rehabilitation works conducted per Indian Roads Congress guidelines including IRC:SP:35 and IRC:SP:40.
